Diamonds are one of the world’s most precious gemstones and have long been associated with eternal love. Additionally, they are believed to be powerful healers with many beneficial mystical effects.
Diamonds form in extreme environments, like the mantle of Earth. Made up of carbon atoms that bind together in a covalent 4-carbon bond structure – one of nature’s strongest chemical bonds – diamonds form naturally under these extreme conditions.
Diamonds possess a remarkable property: hardness, strength and lustre while remaining light in weight. This makes them popular both as ornaments and industrial abrasives.
